One thing I have realized is that even though you teach it, it doesn’t mean they’ve learned it! Like most new learning, it takes an abundant amount of practice before the student “owns” the concept. That is why I am so happy to be using Daily Common Core & More for my morning work. It has shown me which skills they have mastered and which ones… well let’s say “haven’t stuck” yet.
I had some followers ask for a 1st grade edition. So I gladly created two versions for May. One for 1st graders and a separate edition for 2nd graders. Each includes a month’s worth of daily skill practice in language arts and math. The objectives are organized into a 5 day cycle so the students apply the skill in a new context. There are also informational reading selections for each week, and writing prompts. Of course, answer keys are included for your convenience.
Here is a sample page for 1st grade:
If you are looking for an easy way to integrate Common Core standards into your daily teaching, review and maintain skills for your grade level, or morning work to help get your day off while students are arriving, then check out the FREE DOWNLOAD preview.
Hope you love it!
